What an honour to be chosen as Newton St Loe Farm’s charity of the year.
We were invited to their Farm Open Day – an event much loved by the local community. It lived up to every expectation and we had a blast getting to meet so many of you. Thanks to everyone who visited our stand!
It was great fun explaining first hand what it means to be part of a local charity that helps to change lives through gardening. And many of our visitors - young and old - got their hands in the soil to give potting on a propagating a go, mastering some of the techniques we teach in our horticulture course.
A huge thanks to Newton St Loe Farm for inviting us along and for donating a beautiful hamper of goodies from the farm shop – raffle tickets flew off the shelf for this. Thanks to the raffle, plant sales and donations we raised £300 for Grow for Life, as well as raising lots of interest in our work.
